FIRST DAY ADMITTANCE PROCEDURE

SCHOOL YARD

• New kindergarten students will proceed to the kindergarten admission area where they will be met by the kindergarten teachers.
• The kindergarten teachers will inform parents of their room assignments.
• This is for the first day only. Starting on September 6, 2023 all students will line up outside at their new room number.
• Grade 1 will line up at their old kindergarten line number.  Designated Specialist teachers will escort them into the building to their classroom.
• Grades 2 – 8 will report to the schoolyard and proceed to old classroom lines.
• Teachers are to meet their students from last year’s class in the schoolyard and escort them to last year’s room.
• Staff members will be in specific locations with copies of attendance sheets and Alpha lists to help parents.
• Once students are in their classrooms beginning with Grade 8, classes will begin to report to new classrooms. Support staff will escort last year’s homeroom to the new classroom.

NEW ADMITS

• All new students in grades 1 – 8 gather at the mural in the schoolyard.
• When the admission bell rings a staff member will escort the students to the auditorium.
• Once the students are in the auditorium they will be escorted to their new classroom.

DISMISSAL

• 3:24
